Upon booking your trip at The Ram's Head Inn guests and visitors to the Shelter Island hotel, in addition to their accommodating stays can expect:

At The Inn...

Fine dining restaurant and bar are available on the first floor. The dining room, lounge, Wi-Fi enabled sunroom with adjoining terrace, open out to our grand lawn revealing:

Recreation: A tennis 'all-court', which can moonlight as a basketball court, a regulation sized bocce court and other lawn games.  Relaxation: Private 800 ft beach, hammocks, and Adirondack chairs. The Water: A fleet of sailboats, paddle boards, kayaking and of course, swimming.  Moorings are complimentary for dinner or hotel guests, clearly marked with "R.H.I." The hotel dock is located conveniently on the causeway.

 
 

Shelter Island - East End...

Shelter Island offers our guests the best of all possible worlds and is truly one of the last great getaway spots! Although only 100 miles from New York City, Shelter Island is virtually free of crowds and traffic. You'll find: 

Nature: A third of the Island is set aside for the Nature Conservancy's Mashomack Nature Preserve and Sylvester Manor is an organic farm, historic plantation, and vibrant arts and education center. Learn about the island at the Shelter Island Historical Society. Activity:  Bicycle, walk, play tennis, golf, ride horseback, sail, windsurf, kayak, and fish.
